Candy Bar & Ice Cream Ideas

To us, wedding is not only just for the couple . It is also about entertaining your guests. During reception time, the guests will gather and wait for the lunch or dinner to start. Those are the times where you can think of idea how to keep them entertain. 

For my wedding, I have popcorn serve in small cups and mini fruit tarts. I have also instant print corner whereby my camera man will move around to take pictures. 

Below are some of the ideas you can use.

My aunt told me that she went for a wedding whereby at the end of the dinner. Desserts were not serve on the table. All the guests are invited outside the reception area to have desserts spread. Seriously you will be amazed by the variety of desserts they have. eg. ice cream, muffins, chocolate fountain, popcorns, ice kachang etc. Guess they spend quite a sum here. This is provided the hotel allows. =)

I heard from my friends that they went for a wedding whereby the theme is old school theme. The brothers and sisters wear old school uniform. And they also find old school simple games to be played during reception area. They even went to find those old school cola cola bottles, sweets and chocolates. Indeed when you see those candies, it does bring back those memories. Creative isnt it ?

My Wedding Stamps & Ink Seal

Guess majority of you have to mail out your wedding invites to your friends and buddies. 

Came across singpost and they can customise stamps. 

Thought it will be quite expensive but it was ok. Kinda cool isnt it?

The first 3 pictures are for keepsake purpose.  I bought frames from Daiso and frame them up. Use them as display on my AD reception area. Some did ask me how come the stamps seem like so many. You have to paste 2 on one envelope. When the postman stamps the date on the stamp, he wont be stamp on your beautiful face or picture.

Some ideas from me:

1. You can customise stamp chop or you can buy from those big stationary shops . 

I remember there are two shops have these stamps. 

1 is at Raffles City basement and another shop is at level 2/3 at bugis junction. 

Guess those scrapbooking shops have those stamp chop as well. 

You can give your wedding card, insert or envelope a lovely chop. =)

 

  

2. I wanted to do this on my envelop as well. Isnt it special to have your envelop tightly seal with wax seal like Harry Potter Movie those secret documents being seal up? But warn everyone who wanna use this idea. It is not as easy as you thought. =(  

You have to melt the wax using a small pot over fire/candle. 

Do not light your candle directly as there will be those black black candle things and your wax will turn up not balance.  The result wont be good. Before you wanna use this idea, estimate how many envelop you need to do. If more than 50 people, i think better drop that idea. 

The wax is not cheap and also a lot of hardwork. Hence, I dropped that idea. HaHa

Btw, for the wax, you can buy at gmarket is cheaper compare to buy from outside. You can customise your wax seal too =)

Game 1 
Identify the bride kiss

Each sisters are paired with each brothers. On the board there are 7 kisses . The Groom has to guess which is the Bride's kiss. If correct, will straight away give the key to open the door to fetch the bride. HOWEVER, none of the kisses are mine. HAHA ! If the groom chooses wrongly, he gotta kiss the partner of the sister. ( one of the brothers ).

Punishment : Sour

Lemon Slice with Sour powder ( you can get the sour powder at Vivo . It is a candy booth near the GV . Those very long and colourful candies )

Game 2
Post it and shake them off in 1 min

Very simple game from running man. The sisters will paste many many post it on their body, hairs, clothes, eye lids etc. They have 1 min to shake them off. 

Guess by blowing will help abit. HAHA!

Punishment : Sweet 

1 glass of milk each. 7 glasses and 7 utensils.
They do not know what are the utensils for. Each brothers has to pick 1 utensil. The utensil will determine how much concentrated sugar syrup will be added to their tea. 
We have soup laddle, vitagen bottle, elephant watering can, claypot, ear prick, ice cube tray and a big spade

Game 3

Bee Tai Mai. Finish eating in 1 min

The Groom and the brothers have to choose their utensils to finish the bowl of bee tai mai. 

Btw the pictures are cover with post it. Each of them, one by one has to come up to the board and choose their fav no. LOL. After each has their own utensil, then they will know is for eating the bee tai mai. Utensils: BBq Thogs, brush, toothpick, 1 chopstick, finger, comb and prick for eyebrow.

Punishment : Bitter
