Honeymoon Part 9 - Italy - Venice, Pisa & Florence

Day 12: 23th April 2013 Tuesday

This morning we will be travel across the border to Austria Lake District and continue to Venice and take a motor launch to St Mark's Square and St Mark's Campanile, a replica of the original watchtower that collapsed in 1902

At Pit Stop :

Venice we are coming !!!!

In the boat heading to the mysterious water land - Venice
Cant wait to sit on a Gondola Ride

Landed after the boat ride.

Below are the link to the attractions at Venice.

1. St. Mark's Square

2. Grand Canal

3.St Mark's Basilica

Gondola : A form of transportation at Venice

The St Mark's Campanile
The bell tower of the St. Mark's Basilica is one of Venice's most recognizable landmarks. The current tower is an early 20th century reconstruction of the original tower which collapsed in 1902.

The Doge's Palace
The magnificent Doge's Palace is one of the most important buildings in Venice. It was the center of power, from where the Venetian Republic was ruled.

We visited a Venetian glass factory and were fascinated by the master glassblower's demonstration.
We were told ny our tour guide that we can no need to purchase anything .

Yummy Ice Cream.
It is a must for a good sunny mild wind weather.
Weather estimate 15 degree.

Waiting to hop onto the Gondola

To conclude for the Gondola Rides, for those people out there who are fascinated and amazed like me... IT IS TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED FROM WHAT YOU SEEN ON TV OR IMAGINE.
Firstly there are nothing much to be seen on the ride. I think walking will able to see more and explore more. Secondly the person who row the Gondola do not sing. I have to sing so others can tip me instead. Comparable is like small rivers beside many rows of houses and building.
Nothing special at all. Sad

Scenery is much better by foot and take pic along the side of the river.
Spend your money to buy ice cream and have a good time relax with your love one by the side of the river chit chatting about anything under the sky.
Nothing beats having your love one by your side.
Love you my dear hubby, Kyo

After Venice, time for our dinner. Tonight is buffet dinner.
YUMMY !
See our driver's daughter. SO CUTE !
